I will provide administrative WP access as well as FTP access to an existing hosting plan. WordPress will (obviously) already be installed. It will be up to you to apply whatever theme we decide to the WP Turf site and customize it to whatever degree is necessary to result in a great looking site.

I would like to have a forum that will appeal to people familiar with today’s social media platforms. It should be easy to use and navigate, and have clear categories so that people can easily search past posts for answers to their questions. I don’t really care if it is built on BuddyPress, bbPress, or some other plugin. All I care about is that it functions perfectly, is user friendly, and looks good (and uniform with the rest of the WP Turf website).

This is one of the most important features of the site. The micro-job functionality is going to be a big draw for both users and developers to come to WP Turf. Users get simple problems solved for just a few dollars, developers can fill gaps in their schedule and earn a few dollars by solving simple problems for users, and we receive a portion of what is paid.

For example, if someone wants their footer changed, but it can only be changed through footer.php, and they aren’t comfortable with messing around with code, they can post that job with a budget of $5 (the minimum). A developer sees the post and knows that they can make the change they want in less than 5 minutes, so they bid on the job and win it. The user pays the $5, the developer makes the change, the developer gets $4 (which translates to $48/hour if each job took 5 minutes), and WP Turf earns $1 for facilitating the transaction (WP Turf will earn $1 or 10%, whichever is greater).

The micro-job functionality will need to include a rating system so that people can have some confidence about giving out credentials to developers. I also plan a verification system for developers to get “verified” as legitimate to further increase the users comfort (this will likely be manual and my job to tackle).

If the Pricerr theme is the best solution for this then I am perfectly happy with that, but the technical co-founder will need to be able to “tweak” the theme as needed to make it work for our purposes.

Over time, WP Turf will fill with both users and developers. Until we have a large number of developers around, any micro jobs posted by users MUST be completed by the technical co-founder within 24 hours (hopefully much, much faster). I will do the ones I can, but my technical knowledge doesn’t really go down to the coding level so it’s important that I have someone available that can go that deep.

On the plus side, you will not only earn your share of the $1+ that WP Turf earns, you will also earn the developer’s share of what is being paid by the user.
